Municipal & Government Projects Assist with Programming, Grant Application Preparations, Community Presentations, Planning, Design Construction Documents, Bidding and Administration.
Lewes - Rehoboth Canal Water Taxi
Working with the nonprofit Lewes-Rehoboth Canal Improvement Association to prepare a feasibility study for the addition of a water taxi access facility in the City of Rehoboth Beach. This project will connect Lewes and Rehoboth together providing an environmentally friendly transportation link. This "Blueway" project can be seen in the Delaware News Journal, as well as the Cape Gazette.
North Dover Gateway
Project consisted of Site grading, masonry wall, signage, lighting, irrigation & landscaping. LAS assisted with Funding applications and completed Design Development with the input and review of the Community.
Seaford Streetscape
Worked as Consultant to Engineer. LAS was responsible for the Concept Plan, Cost Estimates & Construction Documents for New Patterned Concrete Sidewalks & Crosswalks, Lighting, Irrigation System, Site Amenities and Landscaping for a 10 Block Area.
Downtown Dover Streetscape
Concept Master Planning, Construction Documents & Cost Estimates were prepared for this Downtown Dover Streetscape Redevelopment. Improvements included sidewalks, Lighting & Site Furnishings. LAS has been the been the Landscape Architect for Phases 1, 2 & 3.
Downtown Milford Streetscape
Landscape Architectural Services is providing Consulting Services to the Architect for Design & Construction Documentation for New Walkways, Pedestrian Crossings, Lighting, Drainage, Irrigation and Landscape Improvements New Castle Western Gateway
LAS-LLC was responsible for preparing contract plans, estimate, and right-of-way plans. Through coordination with project sponsors, and public involvement, the design met all of the project requirements for an owner administered TEA project including DelDOT approvals, traffic controls, maintenance of traffic and all State of Delaware bidding requirements for state funded projects.. The Western Gateway provides pedestrian linkage along Delaware SR9 between an existing city park, the Carrie Downie Elementary School, The New Castle Charter School, Newcastle Middle School, commercial establishments & the New Castle Heritage Trail Greenway.. This project received the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society - Community Greening Award in 2009, and is planned to include future pedestrian improvements such as painted and pedestrian safe crossings. Smyrna Bike / Hike Master Plan
LAS LLC assisted the Town in developing a Bike / Hike Trail system to link Smyrna High School, Middle School, Elementary Schools, parks, and shopping and cultural areas with neighborhoods. Recommendations were made for Trail layout and construction. Where User / Traffic conflicts occurred, Traffic Calming measures, such as dedicated bikeways, painted crosswalks, curbing bumpouts, signage and lighting were implemented. We prepared contract plan, specifications, estimates, rights-of-way plans, permits, construction phasing plans, traffic control and maintenance of traffic plans. We provided assistance related to utility coordination, environmental review and permitting and construction management. We conducted public involvement including planning and designing the public involvement events and developing materials and exhibits. We provided ongoing coordination with the project sponsors and prepared project status and tracking reports.
